Epiphany Year C

L         Arise, shine, for your light has come. Give (us) your justice and your righteousness, O God that we may defend the needy and rescue the poor... (Isaiah 60:1; Psalm 72:1, 4)  Let us confess the ways we fail to care for the poor and defend the needy.

Silence is kept for confession and reflection

L       Arise, shine, for your light has come… (Isaiah 60:1)
C        May the righteous flourish and let there be an abundance of peace that the Lord’s compassion might shine on the lowly and the poor. (Psalm 72:7, 15)

L       Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. Then you shall see and be radiant and your heart shall thrill and rejoice when the Lord delivers those who have no helper. (Isaiah 60:1, 5; Psalm 72:12)
