L Brothers
and sisters (do not) live as enemies of the cross of Christ (whose) end is
destruction; whose god is the belly; who glory in their shame and set their
minds on earthly things. (Philippians 3:17, 19) Let us confess the ways we set
our minds on earthly things.
Silence
is kept for confession and reflection
L Forsake me not, O God of my salvation;
C Teach me your way, O Lord; lead me on a
level path. Hear my voice when I call; have mercy on me and answer me. (Psalm 27:7,9,)
L …our
citizenship is in heaven, and it is from there that we are expecting a Savior,
the Lord Jesus Christ who will transform the body of our humiliation that it
may be conformed to the body of his glory, by the power that also enables him
to make all things subject to himself.
