Pentecost 17a

P       Brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, think about such things. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (Philippians 4:6, 8) Let us confess our anxious thoughts and make our needs known to God.



Time for confession and reflection



P       O Lord,

C       You are my God. You are a shelter from the storm and shade from the heat. I will exalt and praise your name for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things. (Isaiah 25:1,4)

P       Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:4, 7)
